JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description Summary The Plant Arrangement and Piping Engineer is main contributor to optimum arrangement planning of buildings, shelters, pipe racks, foundations, piles, steel structures, above and below ground pipes, cable ducts/tray and equipment placement (both electrical and mechanical systems). They execute design within 3D tool and produce various 2D layout drawings and civil guide inputs as per project requirements. In piping domain, the Engineer creates optimum piping layout and design studies, produces manufacturing drawings for pipe prefabrication/site installation and prepares BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for procurement. Job Description Essential responsibilities Is responsible for interdisciplinary coordination for areas, buildings or structures (Work Units) dedicated to mechanical and electrical equipment or systems.Is responsible for the location and integration of mechanical and electrical equipment and piping in all Work Units and Power Plant areas.Represents Arrangement & Piping engineering scope of supply and services in the project-team and in technical meetings towards the customer/partner.Creates and updates the 3D model as per contract requirements, design rules, work instructions, installation guidelines and best practices comprising of equipment, civil, piping & valves, access and maintenance as well as hazardous area definition. Ensurse especially environmental aspects and health and safety of site personal, operators, maintenance personnel and third parties. Is responsible for creation and production in 2D or 3D (Concept, Basic and Detail) of following deliverables: layout drawings, general arrangement drawings, hazardous area drawings, civil guides drawings, piping design, piping support and piping support steel design, piping loads on equipment, piping isometrics, instrument rack location drawings, cable way arrangement drawings, consumer location and room designation drawings and earthing point civil guides. Supports the contract review and issuing risk sheets and concepts documents as needed. Ensures the integration of GE products (GT (Gas Turbines), ST (Steam Turbines), HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator), etc...) into the plant considering external interfaces (Customer, Consortium Partners, subcontractors, etc...). Take active role in arrangement of prefabricated Power Plant structures for the design and integration of mechanical equipment and piping into Modules. Ensures fulfilment of design, quality, constructability and functionality of this scope of supply and services at the best cost according to the project and contractual requirements. Ensures OTD (on time delivery) of assigned project specific engineering documentation according to the valid work instructions with regard to project and contractual requirements. Supports Lead Engineer AOP (Arrangement of Plant) in claim negotiations and preparation of relevant documentation and facts. Supports the Lead Engineer AOP to achieve the cost targets together with purchasing, for the complete scope of supply and service for the project.
